God’s Story of Us – Bible Verses about God’s Plans for Your Life

My beautiful, wonderful mother Linda Howard gathered these verses. Last updated May 10th, 2017 The image is from Pixar's Inside Out. The character's of the mind are looking at the islands of life, which we can think of as our plans. So it's like looking at our plans from the perspective of inside our head. The verses in this blog post will help you see the good plans that God has for you and remind you to keep that in perspective when you are telling yourself stories from the perspective of inside your head :) "For I know the plans I...

Loving Others As Yourself – Bible Verses with Audio

It's February 2nd, 2017. The last year of my life has been incredibly difficult. So I have started doing meditations on bible verses about loving others as yourself. I'm working on getting all the verses from the bible into this post and onto a few audio files as a gift to myself and to you. Lessons Learned from the Worst Year of my Life & the 2016 Elections

In 2016 I stopped trusting my mind and body. And then learned to start trusting them again. I didn't completely lose my mind, what I mean is that I am too optimistic. I am more optimistic than optimistic realist (which is who I aspire to be). Sometimes I think I’m a pessimist because in the past, I gave up before the positive thing happened. Which is why now, I am a proponent of the scientifically proven theory that grit (defined as passion and perseverance) is the number one predictor of success. Maybe that’s why I’m more optimist now than optimistic realist… I’ve got to read some Chip...

2016 = The Worst Year of My Life

This year I have experienced more physical pain than I ever thought I would unless something tragic happened to me. On top of that, there have been circumstances in my life that filled me with sadness, stress, fear, disappointment and anger. Okay, that's every year... But this year has been especially hard mentally as well as physically.    That said, I am filled with gratitude that my life is wonderful despite all the pain I have experienced mentally and physically this year. So I am not writing this post to complain.    I started writing this post in early December in order...

Afraid of Changing the System?

Recently I was conversing with a friend on the internet and he brought up a concern that if the electors don't vote for Trump to be the President on December 19th, 2016, it might cause bigger problems than expected. I love IDEO and design thinking and one of the reasons is that they value planning for the problems that change creates. So I wanted to further understand what my friend meant. Here is a clip of his response: "There is the process itself. Once you decide to ignore it, you open Pandora's Box and the proverbial genie is out of...
